Artifact 1 E-Coach Workshops
As stated before, as an E-coach I am given an opportunity to join a community of teachers who share a love for educational technology. The e-coach community shares resources at the fall and spring day long workshops as well as through the Blackboard community. In the fall workshop, Discovery Education came out and showed how videos and web 2.0 technologies can differentiate learning. From that workshop I was able to use some of the resources with my staff during my second whole staff development session on engaging learning using technology.

Through my staff development wiki, teachers were able to communicate new technology resources, suggestions for using technology, explain how this technology fits their curriculum, as well as suggestions/pitfalls to technology. I feel like my staff was able to grow and use these resource in assistance to planning and communicating with the staff. I also create a page of staff experts in case I am not available to assist.
I was invited as an e-coach to attend one of the dates of the 2011 Annual MSET/ MICCA conference at the Baltimore Convention Center. I attended the Wednesday session and was impressed with the professional development sessions and variety of technology that is emerging. I wish I would of attended this conference last year in order to get ideas for my internship. I will certainly be able to use the resources I found as an e-coach for the 2011- 2012 school year.

Continually evaluate and reflect on professional practice to make informed decisions regarding the use of technology in support of student learning. Artifact 1Staff Development Evaluations Using the evaluations from the send of professional development sessions, whether whole staff or mini sessions I was able to find ways to assist the staff in order to support their students. In almost all evaluations I asked whether the pace was too fast or too slow because I wanted to give teachers enough time to play around with whatever resources I shared. After evaluations were completed I would share the results with my principal so that he could understand the need of follow up sessions such as my global education workshop which required more time for teachers to explore and discuss.

Through the creation of Van Bokkelen's Technology Staff Development Wiki page I was able to apply technology to increase productivity. I was able to support the staff development in the creation of the wikipage. It is a one stop shop for teachers to go to for resources to fit various content areas. For example teachers could find videos and digital images to support curriculum for the links on the web 2.0 tools page. Through the creation of a wiki page teachers could understand how Wiki pages could support productivity and communication with students and parents.
I modeled how Google Docs can improve productivity at the workforce with sharing documents and collaborating via Google Docs during my Work Smarter staff development session. Google Docs serve many uses for educators and teachers who are extending their professional development while completing additional coursework.

On the wiki page resources for educational uses were provided as well as best practices.
